ABOUT HERVEY BAY

Sunrise on the beach

Hervey Bay has 60 kilometres of water frontage. It is located on the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. Hervey Bay has 600 acres of reef just off shore from the Urangan Harbour. No need to travel further north when you can visit the Reef here.

Lying parallel to Hervey Bay on its east side is world heritage listed Fraser Island with its beautiful natural beaches, rain forests and fresh water lakes.

Cycling, restaurant dining, cinemas, beaches, clubs, shopping centres and sporting facilities cater for people of all age groups.

Hervey Bay offers an idyllic holiday environment. The fishing is great. Catch a fish from the beach, the Urangan Pier or take a day trip on a reef fishing boat.

WhaleIts reputation as the Whale Watch Capital of the World is enhanced by a pristine marine environment and expansive sheltered waters for the Humpback Whales.

Hervey Bay is the ideal holiday destination where you can relax and recharge your batteries. Isn’t this what a holiday all about?!
